How is your life different than it would have been if you never received the transfer?
My life has really changed because my son now has a very comfortable place to spend his night I am no longer worried as I used to be before. I am also sitting on a very comfortable furniture that everybody is admiring in our village, no more borrowing furniture from my neighbors.
In your opinion, what does GiveDirectly do well, and what does it not do well?
My opinion give directly did very well by giving use none refundable money and also giving us money directly, they did not use third party to reach us. Give directly also is a trustworthy organization because they deliver as they said as compared to so many NGOs that has come to our village and they have never full fill their promises.
What did you spend your second transfer on?
My son has been having a problem of where to spend his night, he was staying in a grass thatched leaky house where he was being rained on any time it was raining. My son could not afford to put up a house since he did not have stable source of income. When I received the money from give directly i thought the best think was to put up for my son house because I was feel so bad when I was sleep on a comfortable house while my son is being rained on. I am now happy my son is now sleeping in a very nice iron roofed house here I am sure he is very safe. My son is very happy and very grateful to give directly. The remaining balance I spent to buy furniture since I did not have proper furniture to sit on. It was also embarrassing that when I have visitors I would borrow furniture from my neighbors. I am happy because I am now sitting a very comfortable furniture and I no longer borrow furniture from my neighbors any more.

What does receiving this money mean to you?
Receiving this money means freedom from poor shelter. I would like to spend the transfer on construction of a new house. My current house is profusely leaking and small in size.
What is the happiest part of your day?
The happiest part of my day is in the morning when a well-whisher brings me some food to eat.
What is the biggest hardship you've faced in your life?
The biggest hardship I am facing in life is lack of good shelter. It forces me to beg for sleeping space in other people's houses during rainy season as my house is leaky.
