How is your life different than it would have been if you never received the transfer?
My life is different because I managed to pay my daughter school fee and she sat her examination comfortably. I am now stay in a very safe house where I do not need to worrying of the door being in a bad state.
In your opinion, what does GiveDirectly do well, and what does it not do well?
In my opinion give directly is not corrupt because I was not told to give out something in order for my to get into the program. They also did very well by giving people money because people have different priorities.
What did you spend your second transfer on?
I spent most of the transfer to pay school fee for my daughter who was sent home for school fee arrears and she was almost doing her final examination. I was so stressed up because I was not sure when I was going to get the money to pay for her fee. I am glad immediately I received the money I spent the better part of it to pay for her fee and she did her examination comfortably. I also spent the transfer to buy steel door and windows that I fix in my house. I went for steel because it is durable and it is very safe. The remaining balance I spent to buy dairy cow as one of my future investments. I will be getting milk from it for my consumption and also selling it to the community.

Describe the biggest difference in your daily life.
I am happy to own a nice house, something that I never had before. Moreover, I will never have worries whenever it rains because I will be living under a protected roof.
Describe the moment when you received your money. How did you feel?
I felt so happy when I received the cash from the organization.
What did you spend your first transfer on?
I used the money to build a new house because the one I had before was in such a dilapidated state. That house used to leak excessively whenever it rained./ The remainder of the cash I will use to pay school fees for my grandchild.

The happiest part of my day is in the evening when reading the Bible. It gives me hope in life.
What is the biggest hardship you've faced in your life?
The biggest hardship I have faced in my life was lack of school fees to cater for my educational needs. At the moments I have to do odd jobs as my age mates are doing white collar jobs. This makes me feel frustrated in life.
