What did you spend your most recent transfer(s) on?
With my cash transfer, I managed to purchase food where I bought 6 bags of maize at a price of $20 each and costed me about $120..I have a family of 6 and I feel that I have tried to cater for the needs of the whole household. I then procured some agricultural materials i.e. 3 bags of fertiliser which I intend on using in my maize and groundnuts field so that I can be able to achieve or harvest higher yields. Lastly, I used the other part of the money to help out my daughter Daina, who is in secondary school in terms of clothing as well as some learning materials like books, notebooks and a school bag.

What is the biggest hardship you've faced in your life?
We struggle to find money for fertilizer to ensure good harvests. We were living in the northern region of the country for about 8 years so coming back I found some of my land has been encroached into. This means less land and with the inadequate fertilizer we don't harvest enough. We harvested 6 bags instead of the 12 bags we get when we apply fertilizer.
What is the happiest part of your day?
I am mostly happy when I find come casual work and I get paid. Money is a solution to most of my problems. So when I earn some, I know we will eat well and afford some of the things we've been lacking.
What do you plan to do with the cash transfer?
When I get the money, I will buy at least 5 bags of fertilizer and 10 bags of maize and the rest can be used to buy a mattress or a blanket to improve our sleeping conditions.
