Describe the moment when you received your money. How did you feel?
I heard my next door neighbour yelling, I got inquisitive and went to inquire what was happening. She said GD sent her the money they promised. So I ran back for my phone in the house, took it to my neighbour since she's more educated than I am. We checked and saw the said amount. I was excited and I am even more excited now. I said a few prayers thanking God for blessing me through GD.
Describe the biggest difference in your daily life since you started receiving payments from GiveDirectly.
Before Givedirectly came in my community, the money generated from the cocoa sale wasn't enough to meet my needs but now and most importantly, I wouldn't have to worry about the rainy season because I will have a better shelter.
What did you spend your most recent transfer(s) on?
I bought eight(8) bags of cements, I hauled some load of sand, paid three of my children fees, restocked my food supplies and saved the rest to pay the workers for plastering the floor...
