How is your life different than it would have been if you never received the transfer?
Through this support, I was able to take my daughter to a technical school. I believe she is going to acquire tailoring skills that will grant her a brighter future. I also own livestock now which will help me continue paying my daughter's technical school fees. The two acres of land that I have got will increase my yield production. Before, I honestly did have money for my daughter's school fees and her joining a technical school was not going to be possible because I don't have a stable source of income.I only had two acres of land that couldn't produce enough good for the 8 children that we currently have.
In your opinion, what does GiveDirectly do well, and what does it not do well?
GiveDirectly did well to send for my unconditional cash transfer that I have used to take my daughter to a technical school, buy some livestock and food for the family. GiveDirectly has not done anything bad on my side.
What did you spend your second transfer on?
I spent my second for taking my daughter to join a technical school. Paying school fees and buying all the needed requirements at UGX 689,000. I bought a cow at UGX 500,000 that will reproduce and help me with my children education. I lent UGX 320,000 in exchange of an acre of land. The remaining money I hired an acre of land, bought food and books for my primary going children.
