How is your life different than it would have been if you never received the transfer?
The biggest difference in my life is that I have a piece of land that I did not have in the past. Before receiving my transfers, I was living with my parents on a small piece of land and I could not do farming. I can now build my house in my piece of land and do farming to meet the basic needs of my family.
In your opinion, what does GiveDirectly do well, and what does it not do well?
Give Directly does well by sending unconditional cash transfers and they are also fair in their enrollment process. In my opinion, I do not see anything that it does not do well.
What did you spend your second transfer on?
I used my second transfer to buy a piece of land. I am a single mother and I have been living with my parents on a small piece of land and have nowhere to farm. I have been depending on the little money I get from casual jobs to meet family basic needs such as food. I sold my dairy cow that I bought using my first transfer and add the money to my second transfer and bought the piece of land where I can now do farming to provide enough food for my family and sell the surplus to pay school fees for my child in secondary school.
