How is your life different than it would have been if you never received the transfer?
My life is currently different unlike before receiving the transfers. I usually own a shop that deals in household goods like sugar, tea leaves, soap, and other toiletries. This shop was at the verge of collapse since the stock had decreased due to financial constraints. The transfers helped me get back my business in full swing. I spent over KES 30,000 of the transfers to restock it. This has really helped me as the proceeds are double what I used to get. At the moment, I get to meet my family's needs easily and even get extra to save through table banking.
In your opinion, what does GiveDirectly do well, and what does it not do well?
In my opinion, GiveDirectly does well through fulfilling their promises and sending the transfers on time.GIveDirectly should also monitor well whatever people do with the money. This will reduce wastages of the transfers.
What did you spend your second transfer on?
I spent the second transfer on cementing my house I used a total of KES 25000. I then spent KES 17000 on improving my business I have a shop that deals in general merchandise. I then spent the remaining KES 11000 on buying my children's clothes, shopping for household goods and food.
