How is your life different than it would have been if you never received the transfer?
My life is different now than it would have been had I not benefited from GD because, I'm no longer stressed about finishing my house since the transfers have relieved me from construction costs. I'm glad that the money I will be getting in future I will use it for doing other things other than building a house. Prior to getting this money, Life was very hard because I survived on loans for building my house which is not the case anymore because these transfer has helped me complete it.
In your opinion, what does GiveDirectly do well, and what does it not do well?
In my view, GD has done so well to uplift recipients from the bad conditions they used to live to better ones for example, people have Built houses, Acquired cattle, Motorbikes, Businesses and Land. GD's transfers have reduced poverty level in my community since people's standards of living have improved from low to high because the have acquired items they never had. In my view, GD left out some people who really needed this help. I urge GD should carry out adequate investigation before making judgement to leave out someone from the program.
What did you spend your second transfer on?
I spent my transfer on plastering my house that I had earlier started its construction before receiving GD transfers. When I received this money, I decided to buy construction materials, Bricks, sand, cement, Paid labor and Feeding the mansions.

The biggest difference now my house is complete.

I felt happy and excited when i received the money and my plans were accomplished. The money helped me complete my house.

I spent 1700000 ugx to complete my house. These money all went to purchase materials, paying labor and buying food for the builders.
