Describe the moment when you received your money. How did you feel?
I was actually thinking about my children school fees and to build a new house this year But it was just a plan, that I wasn't expecting money from anywhere. Surprisingly for me I received this money. I was so happy to the extent that I couldn't believe that I'm the one who owns such amount of money.
Describe the biggest difference in your daily life since you started receiving payments from GiveDirectly.
Since I started receiving this money, there has been peace of mind in my life. I have zinc that I will use to roof my new house. I have paid my children school fees for the year and they are happily going to school.
What did you spend your most recent transfer(s) on?
I bought 2 bundles of zinc for my new house that I planned to build a long time ago I also used part of the money to pay my children school fees for the academy year. The money was very useful, because I had no hope getting money to pay my children tuitions and to start a new house projects.

What does receiving this money mean to you?
Being a polygamous household, I am not doing any business now to maintain my family. My children are out of school because I don't have money to pay their fees. My husband ride people motorbike to provide for us. the farm we make cannot maintain the family. The house we live in is my father house and when the rain is falling, the house starts to leak. If I receive this money I will build my house and send my children to school.
What is the happiest part of your day?
Being a polygamous household and second wife to my husband I feel bad at times seeing my children out of school and living in a old house. But with all of that I am very happy for the life of my children and I. I am also happy that Givedirectly have come to improve my livelihood.
What is the biggest hardship you've faced in your life?
I worry alot seeing my children out of school and we don't have a good sleeping place. If I had money, my children will not be out of school. Getting money to send my children to school and build my house is the challenges I am facing now.
