How is your life different than it would have been if you never received the transfer?
My goal was to build my own house and pay my children school fees. But I never had that helping hands to achieve my goal I really wanted to open my own business. But I never had that helping hands in doing it but with GiveDirectly I think im going to achieving my goals on a day-to-day basis. My money was spend on building material and my children school fees and purchasing goods for business purpose. Many thanks and appreciation to the entire family of Give Directly for the kindness to was me and my family wellbeing.

GiveDirectly is really doing very well for me and my family. They have improve my life as well. With GiveDirectly I was able to achieve my goals. How is your life different than it would have been if you never received the transfer?
Yes.I have been doing contracts on people's canoe on a daily basis for my family and I to survive. When I got my transfer from GiveDirectly,I decided that I need to have a canoe of my own. I have been living going through a lot of difficulties in life. GiveDirectly have made me to be on the level that I'm on now. Hopefully,this transfer will enable me to put my life in order and sustain my family basic needs.
In your opinion, what does GiveDirectly do well, and what does it not do well?
GiveDirectly have done so much good for us. They have done nothing wrong. Many thanks to GiveDirectly for helping me change my entire life positively.
What did you spend your most recent transfer(s) on?
I have been worrying on how to buy a canoe for myself. By the help of GiveDirectly kind gestures I bought one big canoe that thirty thousands Liberian Dollars ($30,000).I also bought nets with my balance transfer to enable me speed up my fishing.

Describe the moment when you received your money. How did you feel?
"I felt good because because it was very hard for me to get such huge amount on my own in Liberia. This money brought a great development in my life. I was very happy and my joy will be permanent because this is just the first of four transfers".
Describe the biggest difference in your daily life since you started receiving payments from GiveDirectly.
"In the past I was really struggling with my life and that of my family because I have been working for people in order to sustain my family. But since I got this money I now own a fishing nets for myself and a canoe that I can use for one to two years. GiveDirectly has brought a great improvement in my family life".

"I am a fisherman and been working for people.The first thing that I bought was a fishing nets. I'm a fisherman and about to buy canoe for myself. I gave my wife $10,000 to add it to her existing business".

What does receiving this money mean to you?
If I am eligible for this program and receive the money I am going to invest it into business, I am doing fishing business I am going to buy more market for my business. Secondly I am going to do another business which is gas business and money exchange which I was doing before, due to the lack of money I decided to come here and now I find myself in the fishing business which I understand well.
What is the happiest part of your day?
Over the past six months although I have had so many challenges but one great thing that brought joy and happiness to me was when my wife give birth I was very excited that day because she brought forth a child alive and that along really makes me happy.
What is the biggest hardship you've faced in your life?
My main challenge right now is money problem, I don't have money to buy most materials for my fishing business so for that reason I'm unable to catch the fish that will give me the money I need. And this particular business need materials that's the only way you get money and the money I don't have now to buy those materials that's my challenge for now.
