How is your life different than it would have been if you never received the transfer?
When GiveDirectly came to this town to help us, I was heavily pregnant with my son, after I give birth, I used most of my transfers to cover the hospital expenses and other expenses to take care of him. My new goal is to build my own house because I am still living in one of my uncles house, building a house of my own has always been my dream and I know through this program, it will be achieved.
In your opinion, what does GiveDirectly do well, and what does it not do well?
In my opinion, GiveDirectly does well by helping us unconditionally without any string being attached to the help, I also admire the way they do everything possible to reach out to us and make sure that the transfers reach us. I have not yet identified anything that GiveDirectly is not doing well.
What did you spend your most recent transfer(s) on?
I used my most recent transfer to buy most of the building materials needed to start my house project, I also bought foodstuffs for my family and I saved the balance for future purposes.

What does receiving this money mean to you?
If I am successful to get the money, I will put it into business. Business like dry goods selling and food stuffs. And I will do the business right in Gomai town here. Depending on the amount I will receive, i will build my house with it.
What is the happiest part of your day?
There were days in the months that make us happy because sometimes our products can have good price when we take it to the Market . And when that happens, it makes us happy as family. Also, the fact that we are always well as family, we are happy for that.
What is the biggest hardship you've faced in your life?
The main challenge we got now as family is house issue. We need our own house. Although where we living now we are not paying rent.. One of the challenges also is money. Because when we make our cassava farm and take the tumble to the Market, they don't buy it with good price. As the result, we are always out of money to provide for our family since we always buy rice for food in the home.
