How is your life different than it would have been if you never received the transfer?
In my opinion, GiveDirectly does well in such a way that I am now an proud owner of three healthy dairy cows. One of the cows is about to call and this makes me happier and optimistic that I will have many of these in the few days to come. Also, the plenty of milk that I will be getting will majorly for my children's consumption and commercial purposes. This will highly boost my daily income and meeting my family's needs will no longer be difficult. Also, the motorbike that I own has transformed my entire life because I am earning something from it. Lately, I have been able to pay my bills on time through the bodaboda business courtesy of GiveDirectly.
In your opinion, what does GiveDirectly do well, and what does it not do well?
In my opinion, GiveDirectly does well in my region and it even bought peace and joy respectively. The officers were so faithful in whatever they mention in regards to the money and the majority of us were satisfied. Though there some few individuals who have been complaining up to date that they never got the chance to be enrolled yet they were never given the reasons as to why they were left out
What did you spend your most recent transfer(s) on?
I spent part of my second transfer on buying a brand new motorcycle at KES 30000 and pay the remaining amount in installments. This has been my desire to have my own because in my village, the bodaboda business is so lucrative and currently, I am getting good returns through it. Also, I bought a new bed and a mattress to replace the traditional neds made of ropes, it was so hectic because had to change the ropes every month. Also, I cleared school fees for my brother who is in secondary school and since I am his guardian, I had to settle it to avoid being sent home. With the remaining amount of money, I bought enough foodstuffs fr my family

Describe the moment when you received your money. How did you feel?
It was around 1200Hrs and I was at work. I heard a message come into my phone and when I checked the message, it was the Mpesa message for the transfers. I was very very happy and excited to see the money in my phone.
Describe the biggest difference in your daily life since you started receiving payments from GiveDirectly.
The biggest difference in my daily life is that I was able to buy a cow. I now own livestock which can bring me wealth in future.
What did you spend your most recent transfer(s) on?
I spent my transfers to purchase one cow, and a bed and mattress. I have kept the remaining of the transfers to purchase another cow, as at the time that I was buying the cow, only one of them was available. I have one child aged three months old and I am currently employed at a Pharmacy. My wife is a housewife. I am grateful to GiveDirectly that I now own livestock.
