How is your life different than it would have been if you never received the transfer?
My goal has always been to build a house. I am a single mother struggling to support my children. I also want to send my children to school.
In your opinion, what does GiveDirectly do well, and what does it not do well?
In my opinion, Give Directly is doing well in my life. Through Give Directly am able to build a house for myself. There is a big difference in my life since I got GD program. My life has improve I eat good food unlike before. Thanks to GD for the help
What did you spend your most recent transfer(s) on?
The money money I received from Give Directly was used to buy three bundles of zinc. I also used some of the money to buy mattress. I also bought food for my children and used the the balance to pay Carpenter to do job.

How is your life different than it would have been if you never received the transfer?
My previous plan have been to build my house. I am continuing with this plan to complete my project. I am a farmer and used to laid basket for survival. I have nine children and things have been so difficult on us.I am sleeping on the floor and my children don't have clothes to wear because of financial constraints. Meanwhile, I appreciate GiveDirectly for helping me with cash to improve my life through their great financial assistance. After this unique program,my life will never be the same.
In your opinion, what does GiveDirectly do well, and what does it not do well?
GiveDirectly have done so much well for us the poor people. They gave me phone and money that I couldn't afford. GD have made me to get things for myself that was very hard to get in my entire life.

I am planning to buy additional one bundle of zinc to add to the previous one. I will also buy mattress, buy my children clothes and I will lastly buy food for my family

Describe the moment when you received your money. How did you feel?
I am a business woman,I was doing my petite trading,but certain time came I stop because of lack of money.then I started laying basket to catch crabfish to sell just to survive.the moment that I received my money i felt very happy.
Describe the biggest difference in your daily life since you started receiving payments from GiveDirectly.
Before I was struggling to survive but now I am able to start a business of my own and my children are now in school.

I spend my recent transfer on buying zinc and school fees.

What does receiving this money mean to you?
If I get this money I plan on building my house because I don't have a place to sleep, and I will also pay my children tuition because it is very difficult sending them to school and lastly I will get back into business.
What is the happiest part of your day?
In the last 6 months I haven't been happy but by seeing you guys I'm overjoyed because my hope is not lost. I have constantly waited for this miracle and finally my prayers will be answered.
What is the biggest hardship you've faced in your life?
I am going thru real life challenges, I don't have food to eat and the farming job is a little bit harder now because I don't have money to pay workers to brush the farm. I have been going through a lot of hardship lately and at this point I think I do have a bit of hope by seeing you guys in our community.
