Describe the moment when you received your money. How did you feel?
I was sitting at my mother's place when I received the message. I was very happy and I started thanking God and Givedirectly. I ran to my husband with the good news, we both decided to withdraw the money the next day.

What does receiving this money mean to you?
I intend to use a portion of the cash transfer to establish a business which I believe will help me to support my family since I do not presently have any means of earning an income. The rest of the transfer will be used to build a decent house for my family and I.
What is the happiest part of your day?
I do not have any means of earning an income and medical facilities are very expensive and far away. Whenever any of my kids get ill, I become very worried because I do not have the means of taking them to hospital since I do not have the funds. In the last six months, none of my kids fell ill which made me very happy because I did not have to beg people for assistance to carry them to hospital.
What is the biggest hardship you've faced in your life?
The greatest challenge that I am currently facing is providing food for my family. We survive on subsistence farming and what we get from the farm is not always enough to carry us for a long period of time. Also, the issue of getting medical care is another challenge since we do not have any means of earning an income.
