Describe the biggest difference in your daily life.
My life is much different because we purchased beddings which have improved on our living standards. Previously, we had to share a small mattress with our children. This was very uncomfortable and indecent. However, the cash transfer transformed our lives.
Describe the moment when you received your money. How did you feel?
I recall that morning, I called upon my wife who had then gone to fetch water and told her about the good news. I felt very excited because I was stressed then. I had not yet paid dowry and that was my greatest worry.
What did you spend your first transfer on?
I spent the cash transfer to purchase two cows worth UGX1300000 and a bicycle worth UGX170000 and a mattress worth UGX110000 and bed sheets worth UGX23000. I saved the balance of the cash transfer.

What does receiving this money mean to you?
Receiving this money means I will be able to construct a permanent house that I will stay in with my wife. The one I stay in currently is leaky because th termites have eaten most of the grass used for thatching leaving the roof bare. When a permanent house is built, I will be able to save money that would otherwise be spent on renovating houses every year hence improved living conditions as well.
What is the happiest part of your day?
The happiest part of my day is around 2:00pm when I have completed my household work, it's my free time to go out to the centre to meet friends and refresh from the hectic day's work. It's the time that I have to share ideas with friends and neighbours which enables me to introduce new ideas to my home.
What is the biggest hardship you've faced in your life?
The biggest hardship that I face is inability to construct a permanent house due to lack of money to facilitate it. I depend on farming in order to raise money g mostbof my family problems but it is not sufficient enough.
