Describe the moment when you received your money. How did you feel?
I was impressed and that's why I am so grateful to God for GiveDirectly. My kids were sitting at home while their friends were in school. I was so happy when I received the money and I ran around my community to jubilate. In amazement, I lifted the town chief shoulder high and he lifted me shoulder high.
Describe the biggest difference in your daily life since you started receiving payments from GiveDirectly.
My kids are now in school unlike the previous academic year. I couldn't afford to buy building materials but now I have done it because of the help I got from GiveDirectly.
What did you spend your most recent transfer(s) on?
I send my kids back to school and I bought Zinc to build a new house.

What does receiving this money mean to you?
Receiving this money from Givedirectly will mean a lot to me and my family. The plan I have is to built a 2 bed room house here so me and my family can have a place of our own. I can't continue to pay rent all my life. And if there's any balance, I will put my spouse onto business and use the profit on our children education while I continue with the farming to take care of our basic necessities.
What is the happiest part of your day?
What has brought me joy or happiness in the last six months is when the principal of my children school accepted my children in school without paying their registration fees after I pleaded with her. Seeing my children sitting home while their friends go to school was a big worry especially where I didn't have the money to get them in school. But when I pleaded with the principal of the school and listen and accepted to take my children in the school until I can get the money, I was very happy.
What is the biggest hardship you've faced in your life?
The major challenge I'm currently face with is the lack of money. I have to burned charcoal inorder to generate money to meet up with our basic needs. Sometime, costumer take the charcoal on credit and can not bring the money in time or in full. So putting our children in school this year is a serious challenge because we don't have money now and infact the costumer who took our charcoal on credit is yet to bring the money. So, receiving this help from Givedirectly will mean a lot to me and my family because it will take our lives to another level.
