Describe the moment when you received your money. How did you feel?
I was at home early in the morning. I heard people shouting and jubilating in the town. I came out to see what was happening and that was how someone from the group told me that Givedirectly transfer has landed. I was partly happy, but wanted to make sure if I am among those that have received. I went up the hill at the network site to confirm. This was how I saw the message 40375 LD from Lonestar sent by Givedirectly. I was overly happy.
Describe the biggest difference in your daily life since you started receiving payments from GiveDirectly.
I never had money to initiate a personal construction, but now I am able to purchase a bundle of zinc for the purpose of construction through the help of Givedirectly. I was unable before but I am able now.
What did you spend your most recent transfer(s) on?
Nowadays, things are really tough. The country is hard and in many instances, we are confuse about the struggle due to the lack of money. Upon receiving my money, I used it to settle the children school fees problem, bought enough food for the house and purchase bundles of zinc to undertake a new construction.

What does receiving this money mean to you?
With the transfer, I plan to build my own house and send my children to school. I live in other people's house but I believe that it is time to have a house of my own. I am a woman now and I have started to have children so, building a house will help me to take good care of them and train them the right way. I will also send my children to school with the transfer. I have two children but I am only able to support one of them because I don't have the money to send both of them to school. So, when I get this transfer, I will have enough money to send the both of them to school.
What is the happiest part of your day?
I was happy when my mother recovered from her sickness. She has hypertension which used to really give her hard time. Recently, after she went through thorough treatment, she started responding to treatment and it has really made me to feel happy that she is back on her feet, as compared to the way she was looking before.
What is the biggest hardship you've faced in your life?
I'm currently faced with struggling hard to support my son that lives here with me. I have to work on people's coal site to pack about ten to fifteen bags of coal before I can have one bag as my compensation, which I will bring to the town and sell, just to feed my son and I.
