How is your life different than it would have been if you never received the transfer?
The transfer helped me to chase away poverty from my home that i would not have done without the help of Give Directly.

Give directly gave me the transfer.

I bought a solar system at 520000, transport 58000, clothes and shoes at 130000, bought land at 800000 household items at 105000 and gave my spouse 37000.

Describe the biggest difference in your daily life.
The biggest difference in my daily life is that I have regained ownership of my two acres of land that I am using for cultivation and I can now get money on daily basis through my saloon business to help manage family issues.
Describe the moment when you received your money. How did you feel?
I felt a lot of joy a round me and shared with my wife and parents.
What did you spend your first transfer on?
When I got my first transfers, I paid off a loan of 1,000,000ugx and regained ownership of my land which I had used as security. I have Started a saloon business with the purchase of two shaving machines costing 305,000ugx, power cable and switches 110,000ugx. I also bought two power extensions worth 40,000ugx, two chairs and a table costed me 141,000ugx. I addition, I bought Sanitary towels including pegs costing 15,000ugx. Household Bedsheets costed me 10,000ugx, curtains 15,000ugx and bought maizeat 50,000ugx in order to have proper feeding in the household.The balance of 14,000ugx I used on transport.

What is the biggest hardship you've faced in your life?
The biggest hardship i face is lack of food to feed my family so some times we survive on one meal aday.
What is the happiest part of your day?
The happiest moment is in the evening. This time i and family will be eating.
What does receiving this money mean to you?
My plan is to use transfer for building ironroofed house at the site given to me by my father.
