How is your life different than it would have been if you never received the transfer?
My life is now different in that I own businesses which earn me income unlike before my household did not have enough money.
In your opinion, what does GiveDirectly do well, and what does it not do well?
In my opinion,GD has enabled me to start up arestuatant business that I have been longing to own, and it has done nothing bad .
What did you spend your second transfer on?
I spent my second transfer to buy stock for my retail shop which costed me 500,000ugx and I also started up a restaurant which I used 800, 000ugx to set it up and the balance of the money I used for paying my children's school fees.

Describe the biggest difference in your daily life.
The biggest difference in my daily life is that, I have less stress than ever before, I can now take my child for treatment any time because my business is generating money that can sustain our family on a daily basis.
Describe the moment when you received your money. How did you feel?
I did not know that money had been sent to my phone by Givdirectly but some one called me to inform. Since it was so early in the morning, I got up quickly shared with my husband and danced in joy.
What did you spend your first transfer on?
When I got my first transfer, I used 1,000,000ugx for starting up a retail shop that generates for me daily income also paid tuition for my child with 200,000ugx since eductation is a key to us in the family. I hired land for cultivation of crops with 150,000ugx in order to increase on food production, I paid a debt of 120,000ugx which was borrowed for meeting treatment bills. I bought a mattress at 60,000ugx and purchased clothes of 100,000ugx to improve on our standard of life and the balance of 70,000ugx we used for purchasing dietary food.

The biggest hardship I am faced with is inadequacy of money to support my business.

The happiest part of my day is in the noon time when I am seated with fellow vilage mates.
