How is your life different than it would have been if you never received the transfer?
Yes, the transfer opened my eyes to think in a new way. I thought of having a nice house such that I bought 20 iron sheets. I also thought of improving my sleeping place such that I bought a duvet and a blacket. I never thought that I can achieve this in a short period of time but the transfer made it possible.
In your opinion, what does GiveDirectly do well, and what does it not do well?
GD is doing very well by providing unconditional cash transfers. The money has brought happiness to my life. I used to live a life full of worries but thanks to GD for the relief.
What did you spend your most recent transfer(s) on?
I used my transfer to buy 20 iron sheets. I am tired of having a grass thatched roof which leaks during rainy season. I also used the money to improve my sleeping place. I bought a duvet and some blackects and now my sleeping place is very nice. I have been struggling with hunger. GD gave me an opportunity to buy some food. I bought 5 bags of maize for food processing. I am so grateful.

What does receiving this money mean to you?
I will build a house for our family as it has been our wish because this grass house is very involving during rainy season is very difficult to find grass and plastic paper is expensive to be changing now and again so i would rather build a house with i ron sheets so i can rest from these issues. I will also buy food since i did not harvest enough this season and also i will buy blankets and matress to improve on our sleeping place because we only cover ourselves with lappers and we just sleep directly on the floor nothing to put on there.
What is the happiest part of your day?
I am happy when i have managed feed my family that day because i am responsible man failling to do so i am always sad
What is the biggest hardship you've faced in your life?
Depending on hand to month is very hard because we don't have a fixed source of income on daily basis so it's just game of chance whatever comes on our way we go for it aslong as we are able to feed our family.
