With so much excitement, I can safely say my long awaited dream of building my dream house is at the point of realization. Before I started receiving transfer from GiveDirectly, I had the desired so much to built my own house. But I couldn't afford to the finances. For the passed ten years plus, since I had an accident as a truck driver and that caused me the lost of my job. From that day, My livelihood had been from daily hire as tailor in my friend's tailoring shop. I have been renting for a long period of time alone with my family. This condition has been giving me lot of stress because of the poor condition I am being faced with. I have planned to build a house but there have been no way out because there is no money. With this help from GiveDirectly, I was able to buy two bundles of zinc and other building materials to start my house project. I am saving the other portion of the money to pay the workers that will be doing the house project for me and also use portion of it to feed my family.

I cut palm and make oil for a living. Sometimes,due to bad road conditions it's difficult to bring oil to the big markets to sell. I will have to sell it for a little amount just to buy food for my family to eat. I also pay rent monthly for the house we live in. The moment I received the message was the best moment in my life.
