How is your life different than it would have been if you never received the transfer?
Sarrah, before GD came, I planned to build a house but could not be realized due to lock of funding. My entire life is just farming and the products sales could not start a house. I was enrolled as a recipient on the GD program and starting receiving transfers. With the first and second transfers, I can now start to build a house of my own and also be respected in the village that I owned a home.
In your opinion, what does GiveDirectly do well, and what does it not do well?
I want to take this time to say a very big thanks to Give Directly for services rendered us during the entire enrollment process was very transparent. You did a great and excellent job.
What did you spend your most recent transfer(s) on?
,I was able to buy three (3) bundles of zinc and paid people to cut the Sticks for the building. I was also able to buy food for the children. I was also able to complete the school fees for my children. A very thanks to the entire Give Directly family for the transfers that is really helping us to improve our lives.

How is your life different than it would have been if you never received the transfer?
My foremost priority now build a house for myself. Living in a deplorable condition over the years has not been easy but with this transfer, I intend to turn that around for the good of myself and my children.
In your opinion, what does GiveDirectly do well, and what does it not do well?
There's nothing GiveDirectly does not do well. Giving us cash transfers, talking to us nicely, changing our lives for good, that's alot of well if I may say.
What did you spend your most recent transfer(s) on?
I have bought materials for my house including zinc, nails, planks and cement. Negotiation is already in place with contractors to ensure a good work is done.

Describe the moment when you received your money. How did you feel?
I was very happy when I got the cash transfer because for God to do that miracle was not easy. I was too very happy until I cry, and it was because of the expenses we had to deal with and we did not have money. We're living on farming, with no business to do.
Describe the biggest difference in your daily life since you started receiving payments from GiveDirectly.
The difference it made in our lives was to pay our child tuition, and then bought two bundles of zinc to start our project. When school is about to open, we get worried about their tuition. I'm also worried about our rotten tash house we live in. When the rain seasons start, we start to worry about it's leaking. If we were to even buy a bundle of zinc, it was going to take two to three years to get it. Thanks to Give Directly.
