How is your life different than it would have been if you never received the transfer?
Paying my children school is always a goal for me and my husband. I do not think it is a new goal owing to the fact that it is our (husband and I) responsibility. I have three children. They are presently in school. I believe in educating them, since I did not had the opportunity to go far in school. So, when I received my last transfer, I paid their balance tuition right way.
In your opinion, what does GiveDirectly do well, and what does it not do well?
GiveDirectly has done very well for me through its cash transfer program. My husband and I had no money during the beginning of this academic year to send our children to school. It was not easy for us. But thanks to GiveDirectly for reaching our village and empowering me with money to pay for their educations. I am very grateful for this opportunity and is something very unforgettable. However, when it comes to things done unwell by GD, I do not know of any.
What did you spend your most recent transfer(s) on?
I spent portion of my last transfer on my children balance school fees and save some for our house project. I am really interested in educating my children. My husband and I are farmers. Farming work has been the only means of supporting our home. Most time my husband and I find it difficult to pay for our children educations. But thanks to GiveDirectly for being here for us by giving me money directly that I was able to paid their balance tuitions.

Describe the moment when you received your money. How did you feel?
I was doing some work in my house when I heard people shooting, suddenly I ran out to inquire what the noise was for and I met a very good news on ground! Give Directly had just sent in our transfers, I joined them and we began to dance around.

Putting my children in school and on time has always been my biggest challenge. At times they will be home watching their mates go to school which was so tense for me, also looking at the kind of house we live in has also been challenging to us. With Give Directly transfer, my children are now in school and my house project is ongoing. Thank God for Give Directly who has lifted so much burden from my neck, I am indeed grateful!
