How is your life different than it would have been if you never received the transfer?
The new goal I have set before receiving this transfer is to reroof my house from thacth to zincs. I have planned to remove the thacth from my house because it very old. I have negotiated with cashual workers already to reroof my house. I am a window caring for high numbers of children. Receiving this transfer brought great relief to me. Thanks to Givedirectly for the great intervention in my life. I believe that with Givedirectly kind gesture to me through cash supports , my planned to live better life in this village will soon come to pass.
In your opinion, what does GiveDirectly do well, and what does it not do well?
I want to firstly take this time to appreciate Givedirectly for the great record set In this village to remove almost everyone from extreme poverty in this village. Givedirectly has done great job for us. A window Iike me who had been suffering for years in this village because of hardship, has been recused financially by Givedirectly cash supports. I am over happy for the kind of good work Givedirectly is doing. There is no system in Givedirectly style of implementation that needs improvement .
What did you spend your most recent transfer(s) on?
I used my most recent transfer to pay two of my children WEAC fees in Monrovia. I am saving some of my money to hired cashual workers to re roof my house with the four bundles of Zinc I bought with my previous transfers. I have kept my balance transfer in to saving to buy petty businesses like oil and plantains to start selling. I believe that when I invest my transfer into making petty businesses , I will be able to generate more profits in the future to continuously take care of my children Thanks to Givedirectly for empowering me financially.

Describe the moment when you received your money. How did you feel?
I was very excited when I received the transfer. My brother and I were on the farm when I received a message on my phone. I don't know how to read neither write. I called my brother to read the message. He read the message and told me that GiveDirectly has sent me money. I started to shout and dance. I started praising God because I have suffered a lot in life. I have never received such money in my life. It was my very first time. I can't stop thanking GiveDirectly. I felt that GiveDirectly is my earthly saviour. I lost my husband three years ago. After his death things began difficult for me. I couldn't afford to pay my children school fees and feed them. Because of this transfer, my children are now registered in school, and we have enough food to eat.
Describe the biggest difference in your daily life since you started receiving payments from GiveDirectly.
I don't worry any longer about my children school fees and feeding. Three years ago, my husband died. Every night I was worried because there was no one to help me. I used to worked on community dwellers farm to have food for my children. Since I received the transfer, my worry stopped. All I can do now is to praise God and also appreciate all GiveDirectly staff for such a great help.
What did you spend your most recent transfer(s) on?
I spent my first transfer on two things that are very important in my life. I bought zinc to change the roof of my house. My 3 kids and I have been living in this thatch house for over three years. My building leaks when ever rain falls. Whenever rain falls in the night, we have sleepless night. I have been working on people farm to earn money to change this roof, but couldn't get the money I needed. It was my first transfer from GiveDirectly that helped me buy my znic. Secondly, I have been able to registered my children in school. My children were not going to school. It was my worry that their future educationally has come down to going in the bushes. I really appreciate GiveDirectly, because it is GiveDirectly that has made my children to registered in school.
