How is your life different than it would have been if you never received the transfer?
My life has transformed alot eversince I received the cash transfers. I acquired household property within a shortest period of time. I would not have been in position to afford such items on my own. More so, I paid off debts that were breathing down my neck. Previously, a piece of farm land had been used to access a loan. I had to pay it off so as to repossess that farm land. This will boost my food supply in the future.
In your opinion, what does GiveDirectly do well, and what does it not do well?
In my opinion,GiveDirectly does well to support those in dire need of financial assistance. Personally, I did not observe anything wrong that GiveDirectly has done.
What did you spend your second transfer on?
The second cash transfer was partly spent on paying debts. I purchased a bicycle, chairs and tables. I purchased an ox too.

Describe the biggest difference in your daily life.
My daily life has changed for the better in that, I have been in position to acquire an ox that is going to ease my agriculture and I believe my harvest is going to increase. In addition, I have owned a bicycle that has facilitated my movement. Before receiving this money, I hired oxen to plough my piece of land and I used to plant crops late because the oxen owners first prioritize their farms that often resulted to poor yields. I walked on foot to the hospital because I lacked a means of transport .
Describe the moment when you received your money. How did you feel?
The moment I received my money, I became very happy because I had got the money that would enable me acquire an ox and household items.
What did you spend your first transfer on?
I spent my first transfer to purchase an ox at UGX 830,000, a goat at UGX 100,000, a bicycle at UGX 250,000, a mattress at UGX 80,000, bed sheets UGX 20,000 and UGX 100,000 I spent for weeding my crops (ground nuts and cassava) . I have saved UGX 100,000 to spent later on buying drugs, UGX 230,000 I spent on foodstuffs, a table, chairs and my clothes.
