How is your life different than it would have been if you never received the transfer?
The new goal was building a house and creating a good home for my family.
In your opinion, what does GiveDirectly do well, and what does it not do well?
What Givedirectly does so well is that you dont discriminate you work with everybody. Where givedirectly doesn't not work well to be honest I can not see anything that I could call out on.
What did you spend your most recent transfer(s) on?
With the most recent we just paid off the builders and we managed to buy some maize.

Describe the moment when you received your money. How did you feel?
I was very excited when I received my transfer. I never expected this in my life. The moment I received my transfer, I thanked God for the blessing.
Describe the biggest difference in your daily life since you started receiving payments from GiveDirectly.
Now I am living a happy life. My life was full of worries but the transfer brought happiness and joy to my life. After a long time, I have been failing to finish my house but the money enabled me to buy all necessary materials to finish my house. I also have bought enough beddings and clothes for my house. My family members are looking very nice in the clothes I bought them. The money was also used to buy food and I am happy because I eat almost 3 times a day. I am so grateful for the transfer.
What did you spend your most recent transfer(s) on?
I used my first transfer to buy 10 iron sheets. I had built a house and I had difficulties in finishing it. The money enabled me to finish my house. I also bought 10 bags of cement to replace the mud flow with a concrete one. I also used the money to buy beddings such as a mattress which costs MK 75 000 and some blackects. I had no food in my house, the money helped me to buy 5 bags of maize for food processing. I also hired labor at my maize field. I also used the money to buy clothes for my family members and kitchen utensils.
