"I would love to continue supporting the education of my children who are still in primary school. I want to ensure they have the opportunity to study until they graduate from their desired level of education. Even though I engage in house construction jobs to accomplish this, I believe that the cash transfers will play a crucial role in supporting their education and helping them achieve their goals as well."

"I'm planning to add more goats and keep them as a source of income. I would want to rear them ,sell them and grow more and keep the cycle going.I'm planning to save more cash and add stock at my work shop. I'm hopeful that there will be a bumper harvest. This will sort out my food issues and my household will not lack food. All this will mean a stable income and I will be able to afford basic needs with ease. My children will be comfortable in school."

"My nine children are all currently enrolled in school, two in high school and seven in primary school, and they all rely on me for their tuition. I do not have a source of income from which I can effectively educate them in order for them to achieve their educational objectives. My husband also looks after animals, and I am a small-scale subsistence farmer. I rely on the transfer to pay their fees, which has kept them all in school so far. It has not been easy for them to raise their fees. I hope that as they progress through the program, they will be able to achieve their career objectives. Thus, my primary goal is to pay my children's fees so that their studies are not disrupted or sent home due to fees. I also intend to purchase more goats, which will aid in the education of my children. I currently own five goats, and I expect them to reproduce and multiply. I can rely on them to cover the costs of my children's education."

"I have for a while planned to join college to do a diploma in social work and community but I was forced to spend the little savings I had towards my brother's school fees. My plan is to join in approximately one year from now, but this largely depends on how much savings I will have made the. Having this diploma will put in a good position to get a good employment."

"Our greatest challenge as a family is food. We depend on casual jobs that pay $2.50 per day. Due to the high cost of living it's not enough for a family of 8. At times we may not get these jobs and we go hungry. The drought made it even harder, for the last 3 years productivity has been low. Thus making it hard providing for our family. Lack of enough food has affected the health of our children. Since they don't get enough quality food."

"It's difficult for being back here at my parents home. I was married for 16 years and was not lucky to have a child. My then husband was not understanding so I came back home. It feels so bad not having a child of my own. This led me to loose my marriage. It has been hard coming to terms with that. In our culture when one does not have a child. There's a high chance of being send back home."

"Financial constraints are the biggest challenge. My husband went on retirement a year ago, and he has not received his pension. Since he has been the breadwinner, I have to do casual jobs to make ends meet. The money I get is only enough to buy food but nothing is left to pay school fees. I instead rely on borrowing loans from financial institutions which has left me which huge debts."
