received a $467 third payment.
"I have two children in secondary so I used part of my third transfer on paying school fees for them. I used to pay the fees in bits and sometime they could be sent out for arrears. This time they managed to go to school without being out. The school they attend is so far away from home so, I spent some of the money to them a bicycle this has saved them from walking the long distance. It was also unfortunate that where my wife runs a food kiosk, was razed down by fire so we had to revive the business as it is one of our main sources of income. I am happy the business is running again. The remaining amount I spent on buying goats for rearing. Thank you."

Tabitha
received a $484 third payment.
"I used to stay in a neighbors house after I was evicted from a rental house because I could not raise the rent. I was hosted in an old house that the iron sheets had a lot of rust and was leaking. So, I used my third transfer on buying building materials that I used to build a new house after using the second to purchase a piece of land. The remaining amount on I used to take my son to secondary school. Honestly, were it not for this transfer, my son could have opted to do odd jobs as I was not able to raise the fees needed. Thank you GiveDirectly for the money. My children are happier."

Mary

"I spent my last transfer in building a house because my house was made of mud before and when it rained the mud would fall off giving us hard time in always renovating after the rains which is always often , so for this reason I bought cement, sand and paid the builder to permanently deal with this problem for the floor and the walls"

Rebbecca
received a $464 third payment.
"I had bought some building materials using my second transfer so when I received my third transfer, I bought the remaining materials and used them to build a new house. I used to stay in a single roomed house that I portioned with curtain. It could not fit my family comfortably. Now I have a three roomed house. Very spacious. The remaining I spent on buying goats and some chicken for rearing. I am grateful for the money I received from GiveDirectly."
