"The achievement that am most proud of is the cow that I purchased last year after selling part of cereals that we had grown for subsistance.
At 15000 Kshs last year,I hope to take care of it until its value shoots to kshs 30000 then I will resell and buy back two or three new ones when prices will be favourable."

"The biggest hardship I have faced is lack of employment.Taking care of my two children when I had no source of income was very difficult because the children were mostly out of school and going hungry.
I had to take a step of creating a source of income by starting up a business."

"The achievement I am proudest of is educating my first born son through secondary school. Paying school fee had been a great challenge to me but through financial sacrifices we made as a family, my son completed his secondary education last year. "

"My proudest achievement is, I was able to pay school fees for my five sons in secondary schools and colleges through the little income I was earning from selling maize and vegetables from my farm."

"Not long ago, I went through some tough times together with other family members whereby we couldn't afford some basic needs like food. I could go the whole day without food and some days also sleep hungry. Going to school on an empty stomach was like a 'norm' of the day. Luckily those days are over after our first born child got employed and he gives me support as I continue schooling. This for me is the biggest hardship I have ever experienced. "

"Last year I had to pause going to school due to lack of school fees. I stayed at home for 3 months praying for assistance to come from someone. When help finally came, I had missed many class lessons and I had a lot of catching to do. This for me is the biggest hardship I have ever experienced. "

"The biggest hardship I have ever experienced was lack of school fees especially when I was joining secondary school. This led to delay in entering form one and I largely missed the whole first term. So, I had to try as much as possible to catch up with my colleagues and this largely contributed to my dismal performance in my end of term examination. "

"The biggest hardship I have faced in my life was way back in the year 2000 when my house caught fire and everything was raised down to ashes. This incident affected me both psychologically and financially for a long period of time. "
