"Growing up without any support from parents and relatives is the biggest hardship I've faced in life. My parents separated when we were young and I didn't get a chance to go to school. I resorted to casual jobs in order to survive. Am grateful to God because of this far he has brought me. I managed to trace my parents, thankfully we reunited eight years ago."

"From the year 1986 upto 2003, I had a small business that help me and my family a great deal. I used to buy onions from the farmers and transport them to the city. I made good returns that saw my children get quality education, better health care and upkeep. Besides, this is where I got the capital for my subsistence farming and this is the achievement am proudest of in my life."

"Last year (2017), my dad felt sick and fainted - I had to rush him to Kaplong Mission Hospital for emergency treatment. Fortunately, my dad was healed and is currently doing well. However, I had to spend virtually the money and wealth I had, including closure of a motorcycle spare-parts shop I had opened. Accordingly, I have been struggling to attain income to fend for my family and restart my business."

"The achievement i am proudest of is the fact that we managed to increase the size of land which we plant tea. In the year 2008, we bought land through our efforts in farming, working as casual labourers and a small business of buying and selling tea: our efforts in all these enabled us to buy land and in 2009, we managed to plant tea and that is what makes me proud."

"I got my third transfer when my sister had stayed at home for one week due to fee arrears and we were doing casual jobs with her to get money for her school fees. I am glad I managed to used part of my third transfer on paying her fee and she went back to school . I also build a decent spacious house because previously, I was staying in a very bad house where my late husband left me. The remaining amount went on 5 goats and two cows, a dairy one and an oxen respectively which I intend to sell at a higher price later on to use the money on school fee for my children."

"When I got the money from GD, I bought a new set of chairs, paid money for my daughters college and finally built a new house for my family. In addition to that, I also bought a cow that still exists to-date. The house I had by then was too small for my family and that is why I opted to build a new house."

"In the year 2008, I was involved in a road accident. Although I was luck to survive the tragedy, I was left with serious injuries - head and knee injuries. Accordingly, I canot deliver much with regards to the manual work (e.g tea picking) that I used to rely on. Hence, the incident was the biggest hardship I have faced."
