Agnes
received a $449 second payment.
"My life has changed, I'm happy because I have constructed an iron house which is more safe. I'm hopeful of shifting to my new house before the rainy season begins . As of now I sleep in the grass thatched house with the open roof and in it rains, it leaks a lot."

Wesley
received a $23 twelfth payment.
"I expect my life to change tremendously for the better in the next six months. By this time, I shall have obtained my school certificate and be able to get a job as well. Getting a job shall mean that I shall be empowered to start other projects that shall propel me towards being self reliant."

Viola
received a $23 twelfth payment.
"After getting a dairy cow, we plan to make another round of merry go round contribution and support my husband in building a new house. We are currently staying in a mud walled house that has a leaking roof top. The house is so uncomfortable and quite an embarrassment to us. We are optimistic that this shall be accomplished within the next six months."

Evaline
received a $527 second payment.
"My life is currently different from how it was in that I managed to build a spacious house since I had a small one which could not even fit five people at a go. I have also managed to pay school fees for my two children in high school. At some point, the burden was so much and probably they could have dropped out of school were it not for Give Directly to come through. Buying the goats that I nowadays sell to pay school fees have been a relief because they reproduce faster and this has enabled me to meet most of my pressing and urgent needs that I could not have met before."

Felgona
received a $527 second payment.
"My life is currently different from how it was in that I managed to renovate my house. My previous house was built some years back and so it was very old. My grandchild had saved some amount of money for a period of time towards this project but the constructors conned them. This was stressful because I had nowhere else to get the money and through my grandchild's hard work from the odd jobs I thought my dream of staying in a decent house was coming to a reality. I appreciate that Give Directly revived the dream since all my hopes had been shattered completely. I thank GiveDirectly very much because I finally managed to renovate it."

Dickson
received a $45 fourth payment.
"In the next four months, I will prioritize saving more from my transfers with an aim of getting enough money to pursue my next project. My next project shall be to have a dairy cow for the family. Currently, we are using a lot of money to buy milk for household consumption. This money could be put into other good use if we had our own dairy cow. The dairy cow shall also give us additional income when we sell the surplus milk produced and which we can use to meet other household needs."

Selly
received a $23 twelfth payment.
"In the next six months, I will prioritize saving the transfers so that I can be able to practice advanced subsistence farming with the help of this money. The money saved shall help me buy hybrid seeds and pay the casuals that will be working in my farm. This will increase food production and earn me that extra income to sustain my family and avoid the shame of over reliance on my children."

Kiprotich
received a $23 twelfth payment.
"Six months a go, I had to engage in hard casual work just to get that income that could sustain me and my family. This often left me very tired and exhausted. In most cases the money I got was barely enough to buy food and I ended up asking my children to support me. This, I did but I often felt that it was wrong. Upon receiving the transfers, I have been able to provide for my family comfortably and raise a happier family than it has been in the day before. I feel so proud as a parent about this."

Mark
received a $528 second payment.
"My life is really different since I received the transfers. I am at peace with myself. I have no worries on raising fees for my son. This gives me hope and courage as a responsible parent who cares and provides for his children. I bought two cows that will eventually provide me with milk and ghee, that will add to my household food security and nutrition. I also intend to sell the surplus to the neighbours and this will boost my economic power and cash flow for daily need. I shall save some money to meet education needs for my son when he advances to college level. I managed to invest in sugarcane farming which in the next twelve months will mature and get harvested. I feel encouraged to face life with hope. Stress and worries are things of the past. I look healthy and strong, not the malnourished beggar who could walk door to door asking for remnants of food when hungry. Thanks to GiveDirectly transfers."

Moses
received a $528 second payment.
"My life is now different in that, I did not have any stable source of income. Being an energetic young man with little education, there is no employment I could expect to bring up my family with. I had no choice but to start operating someone's motorcycle in order to put food on the table. Now I have my own motorcycle and carry all the benefits I worked for in the day home. Out of it, I have bought two cows as well as planting sugarcane on my two acres of land which was idle due to inadequate resources to invest on it. I hope of getting big profit out of it and do other project."
