Peter
received a $526 second payment.
"Having a decent house in my compound is the biggest difference in my life. I am so glad that I can also do all the things that I want like hosting my friends for meetings unlike before when I was living in a dusty mud house. I used to lose the honor of hosting my friends to others in the village who had better houses instead of my old dilapidated grass-thatched house. I am now an equal partner among my group which is what I have been fighting for."

David
received a $40 fourteenth payment.
"The biggest difference since I started receiving these transfers is that I have new household items such as a mattress, tv and seats. Before the transfers, in my house, we used to sit on jerricans because I could not manage to buy seats with my own income. It was little and I only had one mattress for the whole family. My children were sleeping on a mat because I was not even able to buy them a mattress. We would have to go to my neighbour's house to watch new because I could not even afford a radio. GD transfers have brought a lot of changes in my life. Right now I no longer sit on jerricans because I have my own seats, I watch my own television and mat is history in my house because of GD transfers."

Joshua
received a $40 fourteenth payment.
"I spent my transfer on paying my house rent. I have been depending on my income from construction job to pay the rent before the transfers and it was a struggle. I have never been at peace with my landlord because I am always late with payments. I am glad since I started receiving the transfers, I have never been late with my rent payments. The rest of the transfer I have saved. I have been saving even with the previous transfers so that I can start a business. I have relied on a construction job for long and I feel it is time I improve my financial life through a business."

Rachel
received a $526 second payment.
"I have been living in this village for close to ten years and all this time I have always wanted to have and rear a cow. This has not been possible with financial constraints and other pressing needs. This was until I got my first transfer. I bought a cow that is currently lactating and the milk thereof is used at home. This was a dream come true and not only do I have just one but two cows. I am also happy that I enjoy drinking clean water from a water tank that I bought. Before, I was forced to use water from a water pond which was really unhealthy and posed health challenges. I am less worried now that I store the rainwater which is cleaner than pond water."

Susan
received a $40 fourteenth payment.
"I have been working as an attendant at an electrical shop for four years now. I have a lot of experience regarding the products sold here and where to get them at a cheaper price and how much profits they can earn. With all this experience, I know that I can manage to successfully run my own business if I can set it up. I have been saving towards starting a similar business before the project ends and I am very certain that my life will be better from there. My main goal at the moment is to keep saving so that I can raise enough money to set up a similar business before the project ends."

Benjamin
received a $23 twentieth payment.
"In the next six months, I expect my life to have completely changed to be better because I believe my beekeeping project will have picked up so well hence more income from the sale of honey. Besides, I believe I will already have purchased the dairy cow which means I will also be in a position to sell surplus milk. Generally, my family wellbeing will be much better because of increased income sources"
