"The biggest difference since I started receiving these transfers is that I have new household items such as a mattress, tv and seats. Before the transfers, in my house, we used to sit on jerricans because I could not manage to buy seats with my own income. It was little and I only had one mattress for the whole family. My children were sleeping on a mat because I was not even able to buy them a mattress. We would have to go to my neighbour's house to watch new because I could not even afford a radio. I am less worried now that I store the rainwater which is cleaner than pond water."
