"Our house is built in a swampy area and we have been yearning to move it to a higher ground or to a better place within our land. We are currently experiencing heavy down pour and we are in a deplorable state owing to the fact that water oozes into the house. We are therefore planning to use part of our transfer from Give Directly to built a house in a better place."

Leah
received a $23 twenty-third payment.
"In the next six months, I intend to start saving earnings from my business and sale of farm produce in order to spend on buying building materials for constructing a new house. I have been living in a shanty house for a long time now. I didn't have enough resources to put up a new house since I am the only breadwinner yet I don't have a stable job. Now that Give Directly has boosted me financially I can start a few projects that will assist me in reaching this goal."

Jonathan
received a $23 twenty-third payment.
"In the next six months, I expect to have built a better house. I now have materials in place and that I would spend my next transfers on paying for labour. I have strategized my finances well and I am hopeful that I will finally achieve my long term goal of building a new house very soon. I can't wait to live in a more spacious home. I thank this organization for making this happen. Without them, I could still be figuring out how to go about achieving my dream."

Kademu
received a $528 second payment.
"My life is different than it would have been if I never received the transfers in that I have able to apply modernized methods of cultivation that included hiring tractors which enabled me cultivate two and a half acre of my farm. Today, I have enough food in my household until the next season after harvesting seven bags of maize and beans. I am certain my children wouldn't miss a meal like before which was as a result of using oxen plough that could led to late cultivation resulting to poor harvest over the seasons."
