"My life is different than it would have been if I never received the transfer in that, I managed to buy goats and built a house. Having a house is the best gift that I got from GiveDirectly. I enjoy the space and privacy that came with the new house. I have also found a new title and work that I enjoy. I am a farmer specifically rearing goats. Looking back, I am grateful for the way I spend my time nowadays. After doing household chores, I normally spend the better part of the days in the fields with the animals which is worth it."

"In the next six months, I know I will be having another piece of land. M<y plan is to save part of my monthly transfers so that IO can buy another cow. "Having my own semi-permanent house has made my life to be very different. This is because previously, I used to shelter in a small hut that was leaking during the raining seasons. We used to seek shelter from my relatives which so stressful. I have never enjoyed my marriage life because of the condition of my house. Previously, we used to shelter under a very small house that could not accommodate all my family members. Some of my children used to seek shelter from their friends which were so hectic. Due to this, I had to construct a new decent house which is absolutely spacious. We are now living happily and we no longer worry about the issue of shelter.
