"Had it been the support from GiveDirectly, I would not have managed to replace the old bedding. I was previously sleeping on old and worn out mats. I managed to buy a new mattress and a new bed. I also have goats that I can readily rely on in case of a financial need."

I also replaced the bedding with a new mattress and bed to sleep on comfortable unlike before when I was sleeping on mats and used rags."

Christina
enrolled.
"One of my daughters got divorced a few years ago and she came back home. Being an old woman and with no constant source of income, putting up with her and her children in my house since that time has been a great burden of responsibility. Money I would otherwise spend for my welfare would go towards her children's school fee and food. This is the biggest hardship I've faced."
