"Receiving this money will mean a lot for me and my entire family. My husband and I are senior citizens in this village and being alive this far is nothing but God's grace. Our cognitive abilities are deteriorating rapidly and our bodies are becoming weaker and weaker every single day. Our number one priority right now is to have money to pay for our medical cover because we need it now more than ever. The monthly bill for the same is 500 shillings which is very hard for us to get now that we do not engage ourselves in any meaningful activity that generates income."

"I have been a subsistence farmer since when I was a young woman. The land that I am doing the farming activities from currently was given to me by my parents but it is too small. This has always limited my desire to expand my farming activities to plant a variety of crops which can earn an income for me when I sell surplus produce. This transfers will help me buy a small piece of land where I can expand the farming activities."

"My husband and I work as construction labourers in our village. The income which we get every month is 15,000 Kenya shilling which is not enough to sustain our two children in college as well as take care of our other needs such as food. The situation forced my children to abruptly halt their education which affected their morale. Financial crisis is therefore the biggest hardship I have faced in my life."

"The biggest hardship I have ever face is the one they happen in the year 2018 when I sold an ailing cow at a throw a way price of Ksh. 8000 yet I bought it for Ksh. 37000. This came as a big blow to me and my young family because the cow was about to lactate the following month. It took me the whole year to forget that incident because I had sacrificed all savings from Boda Boda business to purchase it."
