"I work as a charcoal vendor whereby I usually sell charcoal at a nearby shopping centre. The income which I get per month is 5,000 Kenya shillings because prices are low especially now due to the corona virus pandemic. The income is not enough to do my desired projects such as building a house and buying livestock. Financial constraints has therefore been my biggest hardship."

"My biggest hardship is the lack of a reliable source of income. This has hindered me from meeting my daily needs such as food. Something that has stressed me a lot. I am a casual laborer who does casual jobs at our nearby center. In a day I make at least 200 shillings this amount is not enough to meet my family needs such as food."

"Sickness is the biggest challenge. I used to work as a casual labourer in town. In a day I used to earn 500 shillings. This amount was enough to sustain all the family needs such as food. Recently, I suffered a stroke which hinderers me from performing any work, making it difficult to meet my needs."

"It has always been my wish to build a decent house for my family of 3 members. Currently, the house I own is leaking and risky because it about to callapse on one side. Receiving this money means a better shelter for my family since I am planning to spend $ 250 to construct a one-room house. I will invest $ 300 of the remaining amount in goats rearing which will be my realible source of income to assist me in any financial emergency."
