"If there is one thing that makes me happy is seeing a lady with a job. Everytime I see female nurses it sparks the desire to see my girls in such positions one day. My ambition is to give them quality education and I will do the best to achieve my dreams. I will therefore use this transfer to purchase goats and a cow. This project will enable me to easily finance their education whenever I sell the produce. Besides I will replace my house's roof since it is leaking terribly."

"Casual jobs such as burning charcoal are my main source of income. The returns are insufficient hence making it difficult to comfortably meet our needs. I can not even account for my earnings because I use as I earn. This makes me unable to save any extra cash for future use, thus I cannot respond to emergencies such as medical care without asking for support from my relatives. All these problems are results of lack of enough money which is my biggest hardship."

"I am a small scale dairy farmer. I have ten of them and mostly on a free range grazing system. Sometimes they go to other people's farms to graze since my land is not faced. This has brought lots of conflict between myself and villagers. My age does not allow me to do labour intensive work like herding and so this has been my biggest challenge."

"I am always passionate about farming. I have more than five acres of land awaiting tilling but for the past seasons, I have been able to till only two acres. The reason for this is because, I do not posses the necessary tools and equipment to carry out the exercise. Among the things required are bulls and ploughing folk. Receiving this money means that I will be able to buy three bulls at a total cost of 50,000 shillings and a ploughing folk at a cost of 5,000 shillings. Additionally, my family members will provide labour and in this way I will be able to cultivate more than the usual acreage with little production cost and a surety of bumper harvest."

"The biggest hardship I have ever faced in life is the loss of my fourth born child. He was diagnosed with epilepsy at a tender age. As such, we had to sell virtually all the resources we had, including land and livestock, in attempt to treat him in vain. After about 13 years of struggle, he succumbed to the ailment. I feel hopeless and drained owing to the unsuccessful attempt to care for my child."

"Lack of a good source of income is my biggest hardship. I depend on my husband who works as a casual labourer. In a day he makes 500 shillings only which is not enough to cater for all our needs such as school fees. This has resulted to the big debts on school fees."

"Lack of a sustainable source of income is my biggest hardship I am facing. I am a charcoal vendor, an activity that earn me utmost 1 dollar per day which is hardly enough to feed my family and provide for their educational needs. This has forced me to live a life of constant worries about the future of my kids due to lack of school fees."

"My house is just one room and I live with my husband and four children. This is very tiny for us. My first priority is therefore to build another house which is spacious so as to accomodate us well. A two bedroom house at a cost of 300 USD will be good for us. I will channel 50 USD to pay school fees for my children. I have also budgeted 100 USD buy 3 goats."
