"It is evident that my life is different now, I lost my job due to my sickness, I had to sell most of my properties to enable me to seek further medical care. Times are hard therefore the friends that I could depend on were also struggling to make ends meet on their side, I was helpless and the only remaining option was for me to sell a piece of my land. Fortunately, I received my transfer, meaning that I no longer needed to sell my Land, The transfer also helped me in paying back my debts. I am so happy that GiveDirectly came to my aid, May God continues to strengthen the work of the organisation that has impacted all our lives without asking anything in return."

"Life would have been very different had I not received the transfers. I would not have managed to find money to buy iron sheets to put a roof on my house which I built in 2018. All these years, farming has been my source of income but at the end of each farming season I do not have any benefit. Most of the traders buy our produces at a maximum of k7000 which is not enough for me to sell part of my little harvest so that I buy iron sheets. Being part of the beneficiaries meant that I will be able to fulfil of sleeping in an iron sheets roofed house. Receiving the transfers has transformed my life as I now have enough food at home for my family of 5 people. All in all, life would have been very different had I not received the transfers. My family would have been very poor and I would have continued sleeping in a glass thatched house. May God bless you."
