"The greatest challenge that I am currently facing is unreliable source of income. I lost my spouse about four years ago who was the sole breadwinner of the family. I do not presently have any means of earning an income which makes it difficult for me to meet my family's basic needs. For the past three years, I have been really struggling to feed my children and also pay their tuition. I always feel very sad every time they have to drop out of school because of financial constraints."

"My house is in a deplorable condition and that is the greatest challenge that I am currently facing. Where I sleep is a one bedroom thatch house which I built about three years ago. Every time it rains, I become homeless because for the past two years the thatch has not been able to hold the water every time it rains. I feel very bad about this situation but I do not presently have the funds to build a decent and spacious house for myself."

""When I receive this money, I will renovate my house. My husband was the Town Chief for Small Geveh when he built that house. Since his demise, I've not had the finance to renovate the house. The roof have all rot. It'll be a mockery for me to allow this house rot to the ground. So I will use my first transfer to change the roof of the house amongst others. Next, I will establish a soap business in Small Geveh. I was trained to fix "iron soap". The cost of producing Iron soap is relatively low. Additionally, the demand for this type of soap is very high in small Geveh .This type of business is not easily perishable. So I will start my soap-making business so I can multiply the money."

""The primary challenge I currently face is to pay my house rent on time. We pay L$1000 ($6.66) monthly for this house. Paying monthly house rental in a village with no established source of income isn't easy. We sometimes have to endure mockeries from unkind landlord for delayed payments. The next challenge I currently face is to send my kids to school. I have three kids. All are of school-going age. However, none of my kids are currently enrolled. Our "hattie" business cannot raise enough money for their tuation. As a result, my kids are growing up without the privilege of acquiring western education.""

"The biggest hardship I'm facing now is money. I want to complete my house and pay my children tuition fees for this coming school year but I don't have money. Although I'm doing business to sustain my family but the business is doing well. The money I earn from the business these days is not enough to pay my children fees and complete my house. The little money I earn from the business, I used it on food and medication. I will appreciate any help from Givedirectly in order to improve my livelihood."

"If I am successful to receive this money, I will use some to build a house and use the balance to start a business which will bring joy to my family. The reason why I want to build a house is because the house I was living in before broke down and I'm presently staying in my brother house with my family but his wife is not happy about me staying in their house. I feel so bad about her attitude towards my family and I at times. If I was earning enough money from the coal I burn, I could build a house where my family and I will live and be at peace. But the little money I earn from the coal I burn, I spent it on food and medication."

"I have started experiencing some good moments in my life now as compared to before. My financial burdens have reduced. Because my children school fees have been paid, we have food and I have also started buying building materials for my house projects that I'm expecting to start soon."

""The challenge I'm facing currently is not having a wife in my home. Every time I come home from work,no one to cook for me or wash my clothes or talk with me. Sometimes I have to pay people to wash and cook for me because I can be tired to do it, especially after work, and it bothers me. Most times I feel lonely and want someone around to talk with. I have had girlfriends in the past, and because I don't have money, they left me. When I get a wife she will be the one to cook for me and wash my clothes and I won't feel lonely. I also want to have money before getting a wife,so that she won't feel insecure and leave me like the others did, because of no money to support her"."
