"The transfer enabled me to buy livestock which include two heifers and a bull. I was keeping goats only with an aim of exchanging for a cow. However, the money has now helped to add these livestock to my cowshed. These are assets that that can be relied on in case of financial need. I will be able to educate my children through them. In addition, I will be selling milk thus earning an income to cater for my household needs. The bull will help me in ploughing, since I now have a complete pair of oxen. Owning the livestock is the biggest difference in my daily life."

"I spent my transfers to buy three goats at $90, and the remaining amount of money I spent on buying materials for building a new house. I have six children and we currently live in a small two-roomed house. I cut and sell charcoal for a living which is only sufficient to provide meals for my family; at times what I earn is not even enough. I was glad that I could now be able to build a bigger and more spacious house for my family."

"The transfer has enabled me to acquire goats to keep in my homestead. In our area where we are living in abject poverty with no employment, livestock are valuable assets that one can have. My expectation is that these goats will multiply soon and have many of them. I can readily depend on them in case of a financial need like raising fees for my children. To me, owning these goats is the biggest difference in my daily life."
