Changawa
received a $23 twenty-second payment.
"I am hopeful that our upcoming harvest will be bountiful, as this will pave the way for me to pursue my ambition of venturing into cattle farming. My plan is to accomplish this objective by selling my goats and using the proceeds to acquire cows, which I will raise and subsequently sell when they reach maturity. This livestock venture promises to significantly improve my income, providing much-needed stability amidst the unpredictable nature of casual labor jobs. I find great satisfaction in the progress I've achieved thus far."

Charo
received a $23 twenty-second payment.
"My primary objective is to acquire cows for farming and milk production, a move that promises to broaden our sources of income. This not only allows me to sell milk but also rent out the cows during the planting season, which would enhance the stability of our earnings. Additionally, I have plans to open a small shop in my village where I can sell essential commodities. Simultaneously, I intend to renovate my deteriorating house. I am committed to saving and utilizing the financial transfers to realize these goals. The opportunity provided has already brought significant improvements to our lives, and I am profoundly grateful for it."

"I appreciate GD for providing the transfer without any restrictions. This freedom allowed us to address urgent needs effectively. I am particularly grateful because the transfer came to our rescue during a period of drought, enabling us to secure food for our family when hunger loomed large. Additionally, I am proud to say that the transfer made me the owner of a cow. This remarkable animal not only provides milk for our household but also serves as a source of income through commercial sales. This newfound asset has brought a sense of pride and stability to our lives, all thanks to the support from GD."

"Drought has led to food insecurity, we plan to solve this by buying food. We'll spend approximately $150, that's buying maize, beans and other household items. This will give us food security for at least 3 months.
Due due long distance covered to fetch water from the bore hole which is about 7 kilometers. It's also straining walking that far. We plan to buy a 5000 liters water tank. This will help us harvest rain water or hire water suppliers during drought seasons. It will cost about $300. This will give us enough water for domestic use. Our goats will also not travel far to drink water.
We also plan to buy a cow, it will provide us with more milk. We can sell and also use some at home. We will plant enough grass on a portion of our land. Grass grow well here since they need little water supply. This will cost us approximately $600, which includes planting grass."

"Receiving the transfers means so much to us. With the transfers, we intend to bring a lot of changes to our lives. We intend to use the transfers to purchase household goods such as bedding and clothes. This will cost us about $150 for the transfers. We also intend to purchase livestock, a cow, and about 10 goats which will cost us about $600 of the transfers. With this, we will have an investment in the future and also we shall have milk from the cow for our children. Finally, we intend to purchase food for our family together with other household products such as cooking fat and sugar. This will ensure that we have enough food to last us for the majority of the months next year. This will caution us against the drought and lack of food."

Elizabeth
received a second payment.
"My dream for the future is to establish a thriving dairy farming business. The prospect of owning a herd of dairy cows fills me with excitement and purpose. Their milk will be a source of income through sales. I'm starting small, and for this, I'll use the capital from the vegetables I grow. As I see my vegetable sales flourish, I know that I'm one step closer to acquiring those cows and watching my dreams take shape in the form of a prosperous dairy farm. The thought of this future keeps me motivated every day, and I can't wait to see my aspirations become a reality."

"The idea of getting some livestock is really growing on me. I mean a few cows, some goats, and especially a dairy cow. The thought of having a steady supply of milk for our household and maybe even a little extra for selling is an exciting prospect, and then there's the farm, the pride and joy of our family. I've been contemplating putting up a chain-link fence around it. Not just for protection but to ensure that the hard work we put into growing crops isn't in vain. These plans aren't just about the present; they're an investment in our future. It's like laying down the foundation for a more secure and prosperous tomorrow. Each step feels like a piece of a puzzle, fitting together to create a better and more sustainable life for us down the road."

Symon
received a $301 third payment.
"I've got this vision for the future, you know? First things first, I really want to bring in a dairy cow. It's not just about having fresh milk at home; it's about turning it into a business. A dairy cow could mean more than just nutritional benefits—it could be a source of income. And that's something I'm really excited about. Then there's the house, right now, it's getting a bit cramped, especially with the family growing. The dream is to build a better and more comfortable place. A place where the kids can have space to run around and grow and giving them a home they can truly thrive in. The best part is, without school fees to worry about at the moment, every cent can go into building that dream house. It's like a focused effort to create a better tomorrow for the family."
