"I am currently working on finishing my incomplete rental house with the goal of generating a steady source of rental income. My husband and I are both involved in this project and are committed to its success. To fund the completion of the house, I am saving my transfers and contributing $12 to a savings group. When my turn comes up, I plan to use the accumulated funds to purchase iron sheets for construction. Additionally, I am diversifying our income streams by investing in livestock. I have bought chickens and goats, which I intend to sell to generate additional funds for the house's completion. At present, I have six goats and several chickens, and my ultimate goal is to see the project through to its successful conclusion. Once the house is occupied by tenants, the rental income will provide a consistent and reliable source of financial stability for our family."

"Wealth is defined in so many ways across the world. My definition of wealth is having a big flock of cattle since when you have so many cattle you can always sell animals whenever possible to sort out your needs. I want to be a wealthy man by my definition. I want to build this transfers to build wealth. I have been investing in chicken which I plan to continue spending on which I will finally sell off to buy goats and finally sell the goats off to buy cows which for me are the ultimate measure of how much someone is worth."

"I am truly grateful to be a part of this program, as it has had a profound impact on my life. As a widow juggling numerous responsibilities, including caring for my two children, who recently entered junior high school, my world took an unexpected turn when I was diagnosed with breast cancer. Before my diagnosis, I used to engage in various manual jobs to provide for my family. However, my health challenges have now restricted me from continuing those jobs, compelling me to focus on lighter household tasks at home. Consequently, I find solace in the financial transfers I receive. Each transfer ensures that I can afford the essential medications for my condition, which typically amount to around $7. Without these transfers, affording the necessary medical care would have posed a significant challenge. I was also able to allocate $34 towards purchasing new school uniforms for my two children embarking on their junior high school journey. Adapting to the demands of the new education curriculum in our country has been challenging, but the recent transfers have alleviated the burden. Furthermore, I am delighted that, by diligently saving over the past months, I was able to invest in a goat and four chickens, amounting to a total cost of $60. These assets not only bring me joy but also serve as a potential source of income for my children's education and other financial needs."

"I have yearned to buy a new mattress. My husband and I have been sleeping on an old and worn mattress due to lack of finances. My husband's unstable construction jobs do not pay him enough to buy a new one since I am unemployed. I am a seasonal farmer meaning I only farm when it raining and the weather is good. In November my husband had some small cash saved up, we added that to our transfers and bought a new mattress, this was a dream come true for me. In January I also bought a goat at $28 and chicken at $6. December most of the money went into the festivities, we got clothes at $14, I bought cooking oil, sugar and toiletries at $22 and also two chicken at $12."

"Making and selling charcoal is nota profitable venture, we made do with it but it takes a lot to actually make any money from this venture, it is also very detrimental to our health as we do it. My husband sells water, this makes him an income but not sufficient to invest. I would like for us as a family to build an emergency fund and I hope to achieve this by buying and breeding animals. Now we have goats and chicken which I see making us a good income. I plan to continue increasing them to a point they are enough to be sold for money."

"I have reared birds before, chicken, ducks and even Guinea fowls. All this birds are tiny birds and you cannot make much from their sale, for example a chick from chicken can be sold for as low as $1, this for me felt like a loss as they were also very prone to the new castle disease which keeps wiping out chicken flocks in our area. I looked at this and decided to rare turkeys which are big in size , bring in better income and are less prone to this commonly existing diseases. A Turkey chick can go for $5 and this is a very young chick. My goal is to breed my Turkeys and build a bigger house to hold them in large numbers and then sell them at a profit. This funds combined from savings from my teaching job I hope to put up a business."

"Currently, I am buying building materials in bits with an aim of building a more spacious house. This is because the house I currently live in is small and I cannot start a family with it. Having a more spacious house is also advantageous especially when one has visitors as one will not have to worry about their accommodation. In addition to this, I am aiming at owning a cow one day. I am planning to make some baby steps towards achieving this goal. First, I am planning to expand my poultry project. Once I have many chicken, I can sell some and use the money to purchase a goat or two. I will in turn rear the goats until they will have increased in number and later use the proceeds that I will get from selling them to purchase a cow. With this, I'll be getting milk for our consumption and for sale."

"Poultry and livestock keeping has always been my passion with my main interest being in goat and chicken keeping. This is because they increase in number over a short period of time and they can easily be converted to cash when need arises. In addition, these are the items that I can comfortably buy using my transfers. Due to this, I am currently planning to venture into it. I will be using my monthly transfers to purchase either a goat or two chicken monthly depending with my household needs and financial status as at the time I'll be receiving the transfer. With this project in place, I will be sure that my family's needs are always covered since I can easily sell any of them in order to get money."
