"Part of my roof leaks in water during rainy seasons, thus this money will enable me to renovate the roof as well as install ceiling boards in my house. I also intend to buy a dairy heifer costing $200 that will be a source of milk for my family consumption as well as income in future when it multiplies. I will then save the remaining part of my transfer to buy nutritious food for my spouse who has been ailing from stoke for the last 7 years."

"I have 10 children and my house has only two rooms. Recently I have been forced to build a make shift house whose roof is made of polythene bags to house the older children. When I receive this money I will be glad to build a house with two rooms which will cost me around 300 USD. As schools reopen, school fees will be needed and therefore part of the money will go into the fees together with school uniform. I will also buy food for my children which is a big problem at this time."

"My house is so small that it cannot accommodate my family of 4 comfortably. I share the single bedroom with my children and although they are small but I feel there is no privacy. Besides this, it is also incomplete and it has an open roof and an almost collapsing wall. This is a threat to our security and it is not fit for human shelter. Therefore, receiving this money means I will construct a bigger house, to fulfill my desire of enjoying the right to a better shelter."

"I majorly depend on farming my 3 acre pieace of land where I plant vegetables, maize and beans which I latter sell to earn a living. Prolonged drought in this region has however rendered my farm unproductive hence supporting my family needs, more so food has become a big challenge.I therefore plan to spend $150 of my transfer to buy an ayrshire dairy cow whose income from selling milk will supplement my farming. I will also spend $120 to buy sheep for rearing since sheep multiply at a faster rate hence an assurance that my son who will soon be completing his primary education will not lack school fees to futher his education. I also intend to spend $300 in building a more spacious two roomed iron roofed house since we currently live in this small hut with my teenage sons."

"Receiving this money will help me finish up constructing my house. My roof leaks during the rainy season and the house has no doors or windows. I will also buy a bed which I currently do not have. I will then spend the rest on buying three goats for rearing. This goats will be of help to me financially in the near future;for example in paying school fees."

"I have long lived in a grass-thatched house that at the moment is not good structure-wise and the roof is also in bad condition. This has robbed my happiness, especially during rainy seasons because I hardly sleep. Receiving this money means an iron-roofed and a spacious house to accommodate my family. My plan once I receive this money is to spend utmost 30000 shillings to construct the house. I also plan to spend 50000 shillings to buy a fertile land for farming that can produce more harvest in order to have food security for my family."

"Its been tough raising money to live a descent life. We solely depend on subsistence farming which is so unreliable as a result of the unpredictable weather patterns here. For about a year now, I have had to survive in a house with a leaking roof. Simply because I am unable to replace 3 iron sheets."

"I used the money to buy building material such as; iron sheets, stones, sand and cement which I used to build a new house. I decided to build a house, because the house I was in before was leaking from the roof and water was also flowing into the house when it rains."
