"Part of my second transfer, I spent buying a water pump, but I did not manage to buy the pipes that are required for irrigation, so when I received my third transfer, I bought the pipes and now I have a complete irrigation machine, and being a horticultural farmer, I am glad my farm can be irrigated on time. I have so far expanded my farming. The remaining amount I spent on paying school fees for my children in school and bought food for my family consumes too."

"I spent my last transfer to buy some household items like mattress and a bed before I used to sleep on mat it was very uncomfortable nowadays I sleep and sometimes find it hard to wake up that is how comfortable I have got, I also bought a table and a sofa set, borrowing from my neighbors for seats and table when I had visitors was embarrassing and was really bothering me, then because there is water shortage in our area I bought a super drum to store water. Lastly for lighting I bought a solar panel this has helped my children while studying they dont have to study in the evening before darkness, I also bought three goats to rear and as a form of investment to help me during emergency. I would love to pass my gratitude to the organisation of Give Directly, my life has changed a great deal because of the help they extended to me I used to live a miserable life of sleeping in mats and not having enough to fend for my family but now I have those things I thought I could never own."

"I spent the larger part of my third transfer on buying an irrigation pump generator and pipes to carry out a small irrigation scheme where I am planting vegetables ,water melon and tomatoes which I sell to people of my village hence at the moment the yields are splending thus I am able to get double income to support with my family's financial needs as opposed to before the transfer, when I was relying on my neighbor's water pumps which lead to delays in my farm activities which times affected my yields negatively .I also bought cupboard and two sofa set seats ."

"I spent my third transfer on connecting my home to tapped water. In my area, there is water shortage in my area and the distance to where we get it also very far. At least my old mother can access water easily and she does not have to walk the long distance. The remaining I spent on buying building materials that I am planning to use to build a more spacious house given that my family has grown bigger and we need more space."
