"My life is different than it would have been if I never received the transfer in that I am living a self-dependency life. Through the transfer, I was able to start livestock rearing a reliable source of income for the family with my first transfer. Before I was jobless and I use to depend on my children who had their families to take care of. In addition, I now stay in a decent, iron-roofed house something that I had never imagined to have in my life. Most importantly I was able to seek proper medical care through the aid. Lastly, I now have enough food for myself after purchasing enough stock with the transfer."

"Owning a decent iron-roofed house, starting livestock rearing a reliable source of income for my house is what makes my life different than it would have been if I never received the aid. I am currently spending my night in a comfortable house without having to worry whenever it rains. In addition, the livestock rearing is an investment that will support me whenever I face any emergency issue in my life."

"When I get this money. I would like to build iron roofed house. I have a thatched house which is leaking. Also with the new house i can collect rainwater. Here we buy water at 0.05 dollar per 20 litre thus reducing expenses."

"We have been purchasing milk from a neighbor, just a cup to prepare tea. Hardly do we afford more so most of the time we purchase the little to prepare tea in the morning . Thinking of owning a dairy cow is a shifting thought,we have always wanted to buy a cow but because of lack of money we have not manage. Therefore, receiving the money will enable us to purchase a dairy cow of USD 300. The surplus milk will be sold to enable us cater for the daily household expenditure. The other money will go towards expansion of an iron roofed house since the one we use now is too small to accommodate more people. It will cost us approximately USD 400 and the other money will go towards purchasing of indigineous goat since they do well in our area."

"The biggest difference in my daily life is that I am now a proud owner of a decent house. For all those years, I have been staying under a small house in pathetic condition. I used to depend on the charcoal burning and firewood business which the little I could earn was too little to facilitate the buying of the materials. Therefore some of my children had to seek shelter from my relatives daily. I am now a happy parent because I live with all my family members under one roof which has been my long time dream. This has even me more proud and I can confidently host visitors unlike before whereby this was not achievable."

"Receiving this money means finishing constructing my house. Currently my house is stalled because I do not have money to finish it. I have a family of six children and currently we spend in the same room since I have no money to finish it. I was relying on charcoal burning but now it is difficult to get even two sacks of charcoal to sell. I will use the first transfer to buy 25 iron sheets that cost Ksh. 25000. This will help me finish roofing my three bedroom house. I will then use the remaining amount to buy two beds and mattresses."

"When I received my transfers, I spent KES 28,000 to purchase a dairy cow. I settled on this so that I can be having milk all year round. Also, I spent KES 7000 on farming by hiring a tractor for land preparation purposes and purchased some quality hybrid seeds. I spent the remaining amount to build a decent kitchen for my family. I settled on this since the one we had was old and had once caught fire that we were able to extinguish it though it left the roof weak."

"My life is different than it would have been if I never received my transfer in that I was able to construct a modern iron-roofed house for the family. Previously, the house that we had was very small, covered by polythene paper as the roofing material. The rain was pouring directly to us and we were spending sleepless nights during the rainy season."
