Quereen
received a $468 third payment.
"My life is different than it would have been if I never received cash transfer in that I have moved out of a grass-thatched house to an iron-roofed house. The former one could require frequent maintenance and again, it was not waterproof. Besides, I have managed to expand my farming activities and this has boosted my food production."

Agnes
received a $468 third payment.
"Initially, acute water shortage was one of my major challenges in my home. It was a daunting task trekking miles away looking for domestic water and therefore when I received my third transfer, I spent the whole of it on a 3000 L water tank. I can now proudly say that I am drought resilient courtesy of Give Directly."

Ann
received a $468 third payment.
"When I received my third transfer, I spent it on a cow, a donkey and food. I was lacking a donkey and a cow and being that my area is semi-arid, fetching water over longer distance was not an easy task. As we talk, I can say that I have somehow combated water related challenges since these my livestock help me a lot when it comes to ferrying water. After long day hard work, I can as well never go minus food to boost my energy since I have it in stock already."

"My life is different than it would have been if I never received cash transfers from Give Directly in that currently, I live in a better house-my former house was just pathetic, it sats on a wetland and therefore a lot of water could seep out of the floor making it too cold to live in. I am glad, conditions are no longer the same-my current house is well located and therefore we live more comfortably."

"I spent my transfer on paying school fee for my child for the first term. I the piped tapped water to my compound and now I do not have to buy water from vendors. I then built a modern pit latrine because my other latrine was almost collapsing and it was also filled up. I then spent the rest of the transfer on buying a sack of corn which we have been using as food during this dry season."
