"My desire has always been to buy a water tank for my family. We always go past three kilometres to fetch water which is always contaminated and in turn affect us healthwise. However, the Kenya Red cross has come in hand to ensure that we get supplied with water in our village. I will use the money from GD to buy a 4000 litres water tank and buy pipes to supply water direct to my homestead."

"My normal day starts by waking up at 6.00am and prepare my children for School who leaves at around 7.00am. After which I start my normal household chores such as fetching firewood and water, washing utensils and at times I am forced to do any other casual work within the neighborhood such as digging other people's farms. It is only at the evening that I feel relieved after my husband is back from his casual work where he normally comes with food. This therefore, makes my evening the happiest part of my day."

"My ambition is to be a successful business man in future. I would want to open a distilling company and buy equipments that I will use to sell packed mineral water that is pure, clean and safe to drink. I would also want to start a business of importing clothes and shoe and sell them in our local market. The demand of clothes and shoes is high and therefore hope to make a lot of profit in return. I would also want to give back to the society, to the less fortunate because there are many people who are needy."

"My usual day starts at 6:00am when I wake up early in the morning. I prepare myself and take breakfast in a nearby kiosk before I embark on my work of collecting garbage in Mlango Kubwa village, in Mathare. I do my work until 1:00pm then I return back to my house. I take a shower and have lunch at a nearby kiosk. I then leave to where our group is located, where we have income generating activities such as selling water, laundry and barber shop where we work in shifts. I return back in the house at 9:00 pm and retire to bed. On Sundays I go to church and in my free time, I relax at home, watch movies, listen to music or visit friends."
