"I love afternoons because I can rest after a busy morning of house chores such as fetching water, picking firewood, ploughing, washing clothes and dirty dishes. After lunch, I can relax and play with my one and a half year old baby girl. "

"Receiving this money means that I will be able to lease a farm to plant water melon and tomatoes. Currently there is big demand for water melon and cultivating it shall increase my income. I will save part of the transfer to pay fees to my son who sat his KCPE this year as he will be joining form one. I will also boost my wife's tomatoes business because she is the one who budgets for minor expenses like buying food daily in the house from her daily earnings. "

"Receiving this money means that I will be able to assist my family in the daily basic needs unlike currently when I only depend on my husband. I have had a dream of improving our farming to give us more products but water has been a bigger problem for us. I am planning to use this money to buy a cow and also help in construction of a bigger water storage hence will have enough water for my livestock giving me better returns at the end."

"The only heifer I have in my equally partitioned two-acre field had been very hard to feed and maintain of late. The scorching sun have led to the stunted growth of the neppier in my farm which has forced me to keep looking for an alternative feed for many hours every day. I also have to take it to the river 3 Kilometers away from home where it can find clean water and also having to graze along the way. Bringing back home in the evening and locking it in the field to await the following day have been the happiest part of my life since I always get a chance to relax and interact with my kids as I plan for the next day."
