"I've been struggling financially to support my family for the last three years due to my low income. I'm confident that after the goat has multiplied and I've amassed enough money, I'll be able to provide for my family in the near future. My hope that I shall escape the clutches of poverty and lead a happy life fills me with great excitement."

"With my family of three, we lived in a small house that has sheltered us for the past three years. On receiving the second transfer, my household saw a need to construct a spacious house to provide a playing ground for my kid. I spent KES 30000 on both construction materials purchases and also paying the labor charges. The cow I bought at KES 20000 has been providing milk for my family. I later spent the remaining amount on buying a goat I am currently rearing, with the hope to sell it out in the future whenever a financial need arises. I am grateful for the improvement I have made in my family."

"For now, I do not have any new goals that are in my mind since I was able to accomplish the main one which was to own goats. I believe that as they increase in number, I will be selling some and paying fees for my children for the remaining years in school since this has been my major challenge."

"We have four children, two are in primary school while the other two are still young. We rely on my spouse who works at a bakery in town while I stay in the rural with our children taking care of our goats. In most cases, he does not provide fully for us on time leading us into debt. By the time the first transfer was sent, the children had been sent back home due to the school fee arrears of KES 800. I do not have any source of income, so we had to wait for their father to send us some money although he was not in a position to raise the amount at that time. I, therefore, cleared the arrears with part of the first transfer and used the remaining KES 350 to purchase food for our household. I am glad the money was of great help."

"When I received the second transfer, I had savings of KES 10000.00 from the first transfer. Therefore I had KES 63150.00. Since my dad passed away and my mum could not afford to cater to all the family's needs, I opted to take on some parental duties to assist her. My young brother who is in form four was out of school due to school fees plus some fee arrears amounting to KES 30000.00. I saw it prudent to settle the fees issue so that he could resume his studies. As of now, he is in school. I also bought four high-breed goats for KES 24000.00. I preferred goats over cows because they procreate faster, have a ready market and they are drought resistant bearing in mind that our area is somehow semi-arid. Thereafter, I paid some examination money for my lower primary child and used the rest to buy some clothes and food for the family."

"I spent part of my second transfer on buying pieces of ironsheets at a total cost of KES 10000. This was for the renovation of my house because it was small, and its roof could leak terribly whenever it could rain. My properties were also damaged as a result and we could be rained on till the rains stop. This affected my children's health wise and we were in and out of the hospital. I am so happy and grateful because we are now living in a conducive environment and we no longer have to worry about the rains. Additionally, I bought two goats at a total of KES 7000. Once they multiply, they will be helpful, especially in paying fees for my kids which has been a challenge for me as the breadwinner. Also, I paid fees of KES 7000 for my three children in primary school and they are now studying peacefully without any interference. With the remaining amount, I bought food for my family."

"As soon as I noticed that the money had arrived I decided to take away KES 700 and deposit it in my savings committee because I had planned to let the money accumulate so that I could eventually buy a couple of farm animals like goats and then buy a bed as well. Afterwards I remained with KES 500 which I decided use it in catering for nutrition so I purchased one and a half kilogram of rice, a half a kilogram of beans and sugar and cooking oil."

"Following my dream of resuming livestock raising after a previous setback caused by extreme and prolonged drought, receipt of the transfer has given me renewed hope that this is possible. Since receiving my transfer, I am pleased that I have purchased a goat and am on the right track toward achieving my livestock-raising goal. It has had a positive impact on my family, so I can say it has made the biggest difference in my life."

"I spent part of my second transfer on paying fees of KES 5000 for my three children who are in primary schools. They have been staying home for weeks and I was so worried that they might end up missing the examination. I am so grateful to God for answering my prayer in good time since they were able to sit for the tests with their colleagues. This is a promise that their future wiki is greener. I also bought three goats at KES 13500 which have been serving as assets that I can readily rely on in case of any emergency that might arise. Apart from that, I bought a bed and a mattress at KES 11000. It is now a relief to me because I am sleeping comfortable without any pains that I have been encountering previously when I used to sleep on the floor. Additionally, I bought food for my five family members which took us almost three weeks."
